About the Organisation:
Society for Socio Economic and Ecological Development (SEED) was formed in 2001 after renaming of “Naktala Centre for Socio-Economic Reform and Environmental Conservation” which was formed by developmental consultants and renowned social workers to help tribal people. It has worked in Land rights issues, Education, Sanitation and safe drinking water etc. The organisation has developed a platform for various social action programmes to alleviate social and economic problems of the people of different regions of West Bengal especially in the peri-urban and remote rural areas.
Environment awareness, Biodiversity conservation, Wetland conservation, Livelihood development and Climate change.
